You Want to Follow the Hill? Here’s Some Really Good Info
Throughout the spring and summer, our NextGenWeb project has been hosting a series for Hill staff about the use of social media. The information that was learned and shared in these sessions has been amazing.
Our last session was on Government Transparency. I was amazed at how much is out there now. So, we decided to tape it and post it up on the site. It’s now available online and I hope you will take some time to look at it.
Speakers included Andrew Cohen, Managing Director at Forum One Communications, and developer of Legistalker.org and John Wonderlich, Policy Director at the Sunlight Foundation.
Take a look, I think you find it interesting! An,d let me know what think here or on Twitter – @reginahopper

Whether it’s special interest groups or just plain democracy, it seems that getting legislation passed that can transform the economy or create a viable health care plan that is fair for everyone (for example) is never a simple process. Does it need to take such a tortuous road?

Regina,
Unfortunately, Capitol Hill does not run like a business, that’s why they spend more than they take in. By the way I like the Telcom business, I have worked with some of the independent companies.

Well, you are right. It doesn’t and
i think that is why so many people get lost in it. Congress is a political body influenced collectively by politics at home buy also by politics of Washington, These new on-line tools, however, are helpful to opening up at least some of the process. Thanks for your comments on telecom, The industry does incredible things every day.
